Hope that helps! I cannot compare it to Lightroom as I don't use that program. It is quite capable of PP images as well as cataloging too. I hope they do as the program has much potential. Time will tell if ACDSee continues to support it. It basically is the same older program tweaked so that it works.
They have not yet given it any new features, such as cloning or blemish remover, etc. I have been trying out the Beta version of ACDSee Photo Studio 4 Mac and it seems to be stable as far as the OS goes.

It did not contain all the bells and whistles as the PC version but it did the job.
As far as the functionality of the program it was fine. It was very frustrating to say the least. The older version was never properly supported by ACDSee and with every Apple OS change, the program would not work. I can talk about the Mac version of ACDSee.
